Bot protection
Platform crawlers fetch your link before a human ever sees it — to build a preview, or to check where it goes. With bot protection on, a recognised crawler is sent to your bot redirect URL instead of your destination, and is never counted as traffic.
- Set the default target under Settings; override it per link where it matters.
- Enter a full URL including
https://. A bare host is repaired where we can, but the full form is what is stored.
Geo blocking
Restrict a link to a list of countries. Anyone outside it goes to your blocked-visit URL instead. Available on Starter and up.
- The country comes from the edge network, per request. Nothing is stored about the visitor beyond the two-letter code in the event row.
- A blocked visit is recorded as blocked and excluded from clicks — it is not lost, it is just not a customer.
- A VPN defeats it. Treat geo blocking as tidying, not as a legal control.
