Is your browser a webview? Find out instantly.

This page detects whether you're inside an in-app browser, shows exactly what's broken there — and can pop you out to your real browser with one tap.

Checking your browser…

Why this matters for creators

If your audience taps your bio link inside Instagram or TikTok, they see this broken environment — logged out, no payment sheet, no app hand-off. That's why link clicks convert worse than they should. The fix is a link that detects the webview and escapes it automatically; how that works under the hood is in our technical escape guide.

Make every tap open the real app.

Free to start — no card needed. One plugwith.me link escapes the in-app browser and hands off to the native app — automatically.

Frequently asked questions

How does this page detect an in-app browser?

It checks the user agent for the markers social apps inject (Instagram, Barcelona for Threads, FBAN/FBAV for Facebook, TikTok, musical_ly and others) and additionally checks for window.webkit.messageHandlers, which apps expose inside iOS WKWebViews.

Why does it matter if I'm in a webview?

In-app browsers have no saved passwords, no Apple Pay or Google Pay, no extensions and no logged-in sessions — so logins, checkouts and app hand-offs that work in Safari or Chrome silently fail there.

Can I make my own links escape the webview automatically?

Yes — that's what plugwith.me does. Wrap any destination in a free plugwith.me link and visitors coming from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or Threads are popped out to their real browser or the native app automatically.
