The two numbers
- Visit — someone loaded the page behind a slug.
- Click — someone pressed a button on a linktree. On a direct link there is no page to press, so the visit is counted as the click.
Bot traffic and blocked visits are excluded from both. A crawler that never reached your destination is not a customer, and counting it makes every ratio meaningless.
What is recorded
Slug, timestamp, coarse device and browser class, and a country code. No IP address, no raw user agent, no cookie, no profile. That is what lets slug pages run without a consent banner unless you add marketing pixels of your own.
How far back
- Free — 7 days.
- Starter — 30 days.
- Agency — 90 days.
- Business — full history, plus hour-level resolution.
Frequently asked questions
My dashboard shows fewer clicks than the destination platform does.
The two count different things. We count people leaving us; they count people arriving, including anyone who came from somewhere else entirely. Some difference is normal.
I deleted a link — where did its numbers go?
The events stay in the database but stop being shown, because the link they belong to no longer exists in your account.
