The link shows a 404
- Check the slug for a character that is not a letter, digit,
-or_. A dot in particular saves fine and never serves. - Check the link is active and saved. An unsaved editor is not a link.
- On a custom domain, check DNS resolves. Try the plugwith.me URL to isolate it.
It opens, but inside the app's browser
- Check the deeplink switch is on for that link.
- On a linktree, try indirect mode — iOS wants a real tap before it will follow some app links.
- Confirm on a real phone from inside the app in question. Desktop tells you nothing here.
Clicks are not showing up
- Give it a minute — the dashboard polls, it is not a live stream.
- Your own visits count like anyone's, but a crawler's do not: bot traffic is excluded on purpose.
- Check the analytics window matches your plan. On Free, anything older than 7 days is simply not shown.
"Over the cap" when creating a link
You are at your plan's active link limit. Pause a link you no longer post, or upgrade under Billing. Paused links do not count against the cap and nothing is deleted either way.
